Challenge
A top US-based healthcare company sought to develop the capability of a newly formed Employee Experience (EX) team through a highly strategic project. They wanted a partner to co-lead the project and build the capability of the team as they worked on improving the onboarding experience for newly-hired top executives.
Approach
Contexto joined forces with its strategic partner, reshift, in a 10-month project that started with the establishment of a project charter, planning and input from key stakeholders. Contexto co-designed and co-led design research to gather, synthesize, and present data about executive’s lived experiences and unmet needs. We facilitated a series of rich discussions and interactive exercises about our findings with the use of research-based artifacts including experience journeys, personas, and top-level themes. We then led the client team through a collaborative design process to develop, test, and iterate a portfolio of concept prototypes.
Outcome
The design research we conducted deepened the team’s understanding of their audience’s unmet needs. Moreover, the client team honed their skills in EX including project framing, workshop design, rapid prototyping and testing, and new ways to design and facilitate conversations to establish a shared understanding around data and approaching complex challenges.
